About the company
The BNC brand was established in 1994 with the aim of providing a wide range of financial services in the Kyrgyz securities market. The name BNC originates from the initials of the two founding partners, Boris Isakov and Chinarbek Otunchiev, and was originally pronounced as B&C (Bee and See). Over time, it evolved into the pronunciation and spelling BNC.
The BNC Investment and Consulting Center, which was part of the BNC Group of Companies, became the market leader in terms of exchange and over-the-counter securities trading volumes shortly after its establishment. Since 1997, the exchange and over-the-counter trading volumes of the BNC Investment and Consulting Center in corporate securities enabled the company to become the leading brokerage firm in the Kyrgyz securities market.
On May 4, 2001, a new company was established within the BNC Group of Companies under the name BNC Capital Management LLC. The company was created to conduct trading on Kyrgyzstan’s second stock exchange, CJSC Exchange Trading System, and soon became one of the leading participants by trading volume on that exchange. Following the transition to the CJSC Kyrgyz Stock Exchange, the company also became one of the three most active brokerage firms in Kyrgyzstan.
In September 2004, the founders of the company decided to adopt a new corporate name, and the company was officially renamed BNC FINANCE LLC.
